Profile
Dr. Amit Sofat completed his MBBS from Dayanand Medical College, Ludhiana, and his postgraduate training from PGI Chandigarh in 2001. After finishing his MD, he was trained in hysteroscopic and laparoscopic surgery at AIIMS, New Delhi.
Experience & achievements
- Further refined laparoscopic skills under the late Dr. Rakesh Sinha in Mumbai.
- Completed IVF training in Mumbai and established the IVF unit with advanced ART techniques at Dr. Rama Sofat Hospital and Ruchi IVF Centre, Ludhiana.
- Performs advanced ART procedures and laparoscopic fertility-sparing treatments including lap myomectomy, tuboplasty, and hysteroscopic surgeries.
- Practising in Ludhiana for the last 25 years.
- Honoured by the Chief Minister of Punjab, Capt. Amarinder Singh, along with Dr. Ruchika Sofat for commendable service to infertile patients through IVF procedures.
