Abnormal Uterine Bleeding (AUB) refers to bleeding that is heavier, longer, more frequent or more irregular than your normal menstrual pattern. It may occur during reproductive years and can sometimes indicate an underlying gynaecological condition.
Common Causes of Abnormal Uterine Bleeding
- Fibroids or uterine polyps
- Adenomyosis or endometriosis

Treatment depends on the underlying cause and may include medications, hormonal treatment, hysteroscopy, treatment of fibroids or polyps, or other procedures when required.
